Methodology
To kick off the project, I conducted exploratory research to deeply understand DrimTel's current onboarding experience.
To find pain points, I conducted unmoderated user testing to identify bottlenecks in the current signup process.
This led to my analysis of heatmaps, analytics and the critical user journey to pinpoint issues in the UX.
Heatmaps
Showed that the CTA was clear.
Product Analytics
User were likely to promote.
User Journey
Choosing a plan took the longest.
Ideation involved an effort-impact matrix to prioritise solutions. I focused on low-effort, high value changes
I circled the concepts which were most feasible, impactful and frequently reported in the feedback.
These are the key pain points.
The mission is unclear at a glance.
DrimTel’s mission to donate 50% of profits to fight Type 1 Diabetes is central to its identity, but it wasn’t effectively integrated into the onboarding process. I aimed to connect users to this purpose from the start.
SIM options are hard to scan.
The choice between SIM and eSIM options created unnecessary complexity. By focusing on clarity and guidance, I aimed to reduce friction and improve user confidence in their selection.
We needed a cohesive brand experience that resonated with users while supporting functionality.
This stage enabled me to streamline the signup process, highlight DrimTel’s mission and simplify plan selection.
